Royal Durban Golf Club
The Royal Durban Golf Club is spread out over a flat piece of ground in the middle of Greyville racecourse, where fortunes have been won and lost in South Africa's premier horse race, the Durban July. With few trees and little definition, Royal Durban looks featureless at first glance, but it would be a mistake to prejudge it as boring. Anyone who has played Royal Durban will testify that the touch of a master's hand is clearly present in the design of the course and the challenge it offers the golfer.
