Day 1

 

After travelling on the N 7 for about 45 minutes along the coast line, passing Melkbostrand and Atlantis to Yzerfontein. Here you will not only have the chance to admire the beauty of the South African flora, but also be able to observe the local fisherman at work, form catching the fish up to the immediate sale at the beach.

Enjoy a cup of coffee or a refreshment or chose to take part in one of the several types of water sports offered.

  

Your next stop is the lagoon town Langebaan. Have lunch in the well-known Mikonos Club, one of the most beautiful holiday resorts in this region and observe the various kite surfers along the beach.

 

On the continuation of the journey on the old Saldanha Bay you will pass many beautiful farms, land houses and cottages. One Saldanha is reached visitors can experience the amazing atmosphere oft this coastal town.  Here too, the small harbour is stunning and offers you the possibility to purchase fresh fish.

 

Day 2

 

Lamberts Bay offers the possibility to go to sea with the fisherman, you will however have to get up every early. It is also advisable to book the trip the night before.

 

Another suggestion would be to make a little detour to Malgas Island. Drive up to Darling on the old driveway and rest in the historical and relaxing atmosphere of the “Evita se Peron” restaurant.
