Tax Returns in South Africa - Travel Informationen Cape Town         PROCEDURE FOR THE APPLICATION OF TAX RETURNS AND VALUE ADDED TAXES IN THE V&A OFFICE                The following items are required for the returns:                   Valid passport of the applicant Tax invoices  Flight ticket or confirmation of the flight booking. Owners of an open ticket must bring the confirmation with them. Standby passengers must settle their tax returns at the airport.  In the V&A office you can only settle tax returns of tourists that leave the country via the airports in Cape Town or Johannesburg  All persons that do not leave the country via the Cape Town and Johannesburg airports must inquire about other possibilities  Applications for tax returns will only be accepted one week before departure.  Applicants should hand in all receipts concerning tax and value added tax returns on the same day.  The applicant must be present in the office. Returns will only be made to the person whose name appears on the receipt.
