South Africa offers excellent walking and hiking opportunities. The National Hiking Way System (a collection of government controlled hiking trails) is continuously being expanded and now includes many beautiful and popular hiking trails in the Cape Region such as:

Cape Town Hiking Trails
Please remember to wear solid, practical shoes and even on hot days wear a light jersey to protect you against the harsh sunrays. Sunblock, food supplies and plenty of liquids are also essential.
