Rhinos are under the threat of extinction through out the entire African Continent. Even in the national parks it is not easy to protect this animals.   On the Japanese market pulverised rhino horn is considered to be an aphrodisiac. Thus this animals are still hunted to the present day. The horns are sold on the black marked for high amounts of money.   There are two sorts auf rhinos – the black and the white rhino.   Rhinos are vegetarians and mostly feed on leaves and twigs. The can weigh up to 3 000 kilogram and reach an age of 40 years. This animals don’t have a very good vision but compensate this with there excellent sense of smell and hearing.   Apart from humans rhinos do not have any natural anomies.   You can see rhinos in different national parks like the Krüger National Park, Augrabies National Park and Addo Elephant Park. The biggest population of rhinos can be found in the Umfolozi Game Reserve.
