General Information:
Besides having a very developed sense of touch, leopards can swim and climb with an ease found in few animals. Wild leopards can have a weight of up to 70 kg and can still carry their prey into the treetops. They do this so that scavengers like the hyena do not steal their prey.

Eating habits:
Leopards are nocturnal animals. They are excellent hunters and can catch a variety of animals. The hunting area of a leopard is in the vicinity of 30 to 1000 km big.

Social behavior:
Male and female leopards live in separate territories, however, these territories do overlap and they meet during the mating season.

Leopard spotting:
Leopards are found in most National Parks, however, they are shy animals and a certain amount of luck is required to spot one of these beautiful creatures. Most of the sightings have been in the Krüger National Park and the Londolozi Game Reserve.
