South Africa Flag   Exactly one minute before midnight on 26 April 1994 the old South African flag was dropped. One minute after midnight the current South African flag was hoisted. This was done all over South Africa.   After about 7000 designs were handed in, the following flag was selected:         This flag represents the entirety of South Africa: all races, all cultures and the beauty of the country.
