Lovely holiday cottage at the beach, near Hermanus – for up to 8 persons
The holiday cottage is well positioned on the sea front in the popular seaside town Onrus, approximately 5 km outside Hermanus. The Whale Festival is Hermanus’ claim to fame. Every year during calving season the whales come into the Hermanus and Onrus coastline. The frolicking whales are a magnificent sight as they create massive sprays and display their beautiful tails.
The cottage comprises four bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and a bathroom en suite, with shower, toilet and basin. The other three bedrooms each have twin beds, and there is a further full bathroom in the cottage. The fourth bedroom is an outside room and has its own bathroom with shower, and is wheelchair friendly. The washing machine is fitted in the outside bathroom.
The well-designed open plan kitchen/ dining and lounge area enables guests to take in the breathtaking view at all times. The kitchen is fitted with undercover oven and microwave oven. There is a TV with video recorder in the lounge.
Outside, there is an undercover barbecue area, table tennis and a large front garden to play volleyball. The front, sea-facing veranda is perfect for enjoying sundowners and the superlative sunsets.
Parking is available for 4 cars. The house has security doors and a full alarm system. The property is fenced in, making it safe for children, yet still offers wonderful views of the sea and mountains.
