Explore this modern, expansive, privately owned, working alfalfa farm of 200 rolling hectares of succulent Klein Karoo. Around 3000 ostriches browse the pastures and hundreds of Springbok and other naturally occurring game make this farm their home.
To fully enjoy this guest farm, Oudtshoorn and its surrounds, a two to three day stay is highly recommended. This is an outdoor paradise with fishing, canoeing, biking and hiking along the many nature trails - all to be enjoyed in safety within the borders of the farm. The incredible Cango Caves and the great Swartberg and Outeniqua Mountain Passes are other attractions in the vicinity worth a visit.
The farm is located along the world famous R62 wine route, which stretches from Cape Town to Mossel Bay where it enters the Garden Route on the N2. The guest farm is four hours from Cape Town, seven minutes from Oudtshoorn, and only two hours from Knysna!
Unique log cabins on the water's edge
Luxurious and completely private, the cabins reflect a true African style. They are fully equipped and only 3 minutes' drive from the main house. Each of the 4 open-plan cabins offers 2 separate bedrooms and a large deck with a picturesque view of the mountains. There is one bathroom, a kitchenette, a small lounge as well as a hearty fireplace and deck overlooking the water. (The water level in the dam drops during the dry season). In the cabin you will find air-conditioning, a heater, electric blankets, a microwave, fridge, tea & coffee facilities, cutlery, crockery, towels, linen, robes, hair dryer and toiletries. The cabins are a perfect romantic getaway in a malaria free area. They are a conservation initiative using problem plants like Poplar wood, conserving our indigenous flora.
Luxury en-suite rooms at the main house (4-stars)
The accommodation offers 4 Luxury rooms (3 with double beds and one with 2 single beds), 1 Honeymoon Deluxe Suite and 2 Standard twin rooms (2 single beds each). Each room is uniquely and tastefully styled with textures of wood, earthy fabrics, rich colors and colorful rugs. The rooms are equipped with underfloor heating, air-conditioning, a ceiling fan, a bar fridge, tea & coffee facilities, television, hair dryer, towels, robes and toiletries. Each room has its own private entrance, surrounded by lush gardens and beautiful picturesque mountain views.
