This cosy Guesthouse is situated on a working ostrich and alfalfa farm, with some 2000 ostriches on extensive alfalfa fields, with spectacular views of the Olifants River Valley and the Swartberg Mountain range. This charming Victorian homestead dating back to 1910, together with its tranquil surroundings, fine antique furniture, gleaming woodwork and spaciousness, is reminiscent of yesteryear. It is located along the world famous R62 route, from Cape Town to Mossel Bay where it enters the Garden Route on the N2. It's four hours from Cape Town, 10 minutes drive from Oudtshoorn, and only two hours from Knysna. The Guesthouse is very central to all the tourist attractions in the area.
The accommodation consists of four warmly decorated luxury self-catering units, well equipped with modern amenities and a private entrance. Luxurious gardens, mountain views, air-conditioning, bar fridge, TV, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities, microwave oven and hotplate are all available in the units.
Activities on this farm include bird watching, mountain biking, and walks in absolute safety and harmony. Daily environmental and farm tours to watch ostrich chicks hatching are also available and are very popular.

Self-Catering Cottage 1 for 2 guests: One bedroom with bay window and Queen sized bed. Separate full bathroom; open plan living area with kitchenette. Braai facilities outside.
Self-Catering Cottage 2 for 4 guests: This Cottage has a bedroom with a king sized bed. Open plan living area with two single beds and kitchenette. Separate full bathroom, and braai facilities outside.
Deluxe Cottage for 4 guests: Ideal for families. Double bed in separate bedroom, two single beds in lounge area. En-suite bathroom, fireplace, kitchenette and braai facilities outside.
Semi-self-catering barbeque packs are available at an extra cost and delivered to your cottage - enjoy spectacular view - table set - fire made. Local wine is also available on request, price list will be provided.
