Muizenberg hosts many small shops, restaurants, delicatessens, etc. An enormous beach stretching for 30km is famous for surfing and other water sports. The surfing vibe makes Muizenberg a popular and affordable destination for the young and the young at heart. 'Surfers Corner' is the famous nursery for novice surfers.
There are very good transport links between Cape Town and Muizenberg. The Southern Peninsula railway has a stop here, and there are two motorways from the Airport and Cape Town's 'City Bowl' area. Journey times are 20 to 30 minutes making it easy to explore the city and Table Mountain.
A car will enable you to explore the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and Kirstenbosch National Botanic Gardens. The Constantia wine farms are less than 15 mins away, with Stellenbosch, Paarl & Franschhoek about 45 mins away.
