This 25m² holiday accommodation is a self-catering and self-contained apartment for 2 adults overlooking False Bay and Simon’s Town. It is situated approximately 50 km south of Cape Town on the scenic Cape Peninsula. It consists of a bedroom (with queen-size bed, safe, hairdryer, heater and fan and built-in cupboards), a bathroom (with shower over bath), a kitchenette (fully equipped with a microwave, hot plates and fridge) and a lounge which extends into a sunroom making it ideal to enjoy the fabulous view all year round. The apartment lies on the lower floor (but still high enough above the ground to watch the whales from August to November) of a 3-storey building. It has a separate entrance and off-street parking. Guests can enjoy the lovely sandy beaches across the street or the great mountain hikes which start right on the doorstep!
The holiday apartment is a 3min drive, and just a 15min walk, from the historic Simon’s Town. This little fishing and naval village is the ideal vacation spot. The vibey main street has lots of art and crafts to explore as well as many great buildings dating back to the 17th and 18th century.
The historical and Navy museum have a great selection of treasures from the past and for the young at heart there is also a well-known toy museum! Simon's Town is the home of the South African Navy and you can watch the ships coming and going from your balcony.
Simon’s Town is reputedly one of the safest places in South Africa.
Sailing, fishing, kayaking and scuba diving are some of the activities available in and around Simon’s Town, but there is also the Cape Point ostrich farm to visit! Guests can learn about sculpture making at the Bronze Foundry or book a motorboat to take you to Seal Island or around Cape Point. The penguin colony at Boulders is definitely worth a visit. For golfers there is a 9 hole golf course. 20 Restaurants offer all a variety of menus and colourful curio shops make it easy to take something interesting home as a souvenier. A 20min drive takes one to Cape Point - a truly great experience!
Also within a 20min drive is the picturesque Hout Bay via the breathtaking Chapman’s Peak Drive. Cape Town is reachable in 30min and the winelands of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek are within an hour's reach.
