Delightful self-catering cottage in Hout Bay with pool – for up to 4 persons
The cottage is situated in a quiet lane, nestled against the mountain side, on the border of the forested nature reserve that stretches over the mountain. The cottage consists of 2 double en-suite bedrooms and an open-plan lounge and living area, opening on to a secluded pool. It offers an atmosphere of utter relaxation and spectacular mountain views on all sides.
Cool Mediterranean style rooms downstairs open through billowing white curtains onto the pool deck on the one side and the brunch terrace on the other. The downstairs bedroom has a double bed and French doors which lead directly onto a patio. Subtle lime green Roman blinds against white walls are used here to create a fresh Mediterranean feel. Here you will also find the informal open-plan lounge and well equipped kitchen, including microwave, oven, stove and dishwasher.
In the upstairs private suite, the vaulted ceiling and skylight create a feeling of luxurious, airy spaciousness. The balcony offers breathtaking mountain views. The bedroom is fitted with a colour television, built in cupboards and a ceiling fan. This room is decorated with cotton and coir rugs, Madeira cane chairs with African ethnic tones.
Enjoy fresh fish direct from the harbour (delicious on the BBQ by the pool). Watch whales frolicking at sea or enjoy a glass of South African wine while watching the sunset on the secluded beach of nearby Llandudno. Then sample the freshly caught local fare at one of the many restaurants in Hout Bay.
This luxuriously equipped self-catering cottage is serviced 5 days a week and offers every convenience of a home away from home including beach towels, braai (BBQ), pool loungers and pool net, CD/tape/radio player, DSTV and garden table/chairs.
