Addo Elephant National Park - Directions
Directions on how to get to Addo National Park in South Africa
The route to Addo Elephant Park is quite easy. You would drive from Cape Town along the N2 in direction Somerset West. It is a long drive along the N2 of about 7 - 8 hours, then going direction Garden Route and further onto George. From George, travelling further along the N2 in direction Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. From Plettenberg Bay further in direction Port Elizabeth.
Just after Port Elizabeth (12 km) leave the N2 in direction Addo Elephant National Park. The way is now marked with signs and you will drive for about ca. 70 km in direction Addo.
We would recommend that you don't drive this route at night. Various Wild animals cross the roads and the street lighting is not very good, so to avoid accidents involving animals, it would be recommended to drive during the day. Also the roads leading into Addo Elephant Park are not in a very good condition.
