Accommodation:
Inkanyezi is now one of the most popular rooms at Lynton Hall . It is one of the largest suites in the house and was created during the last addition to the house in 1935. Often used for honeymooners or those celebrating special occasions, this stunning and spacious suite has windows overlooking the garden with views to the rolling hills beyond. It is furnished in Indian colonial style with a much requested, king sized four-poster Indian mahogany bed. The room also has a beautiful superior en-suite bathroom accommodating a separate bath and shower. The suite, situated on the 1st floor comes equipped with heated towel rails, hairdryer, television (with DSTV), mini bar and private safe. It also has air-conditioning and a fan.
The Tower Suite, situated on the 2nd floor of the Manor House comes equipped with heated towel rails, hairdryer, television (with DSTV), mini bar and private safe. It also has air-conditioning and fans. Lying in the bath one can gaze up at the stars through the heritage roof lights. With windows on two sides the bedroom overlooking the entire property and down to the ocean, this is the perfect place for a romantic getaway.
The Nicholas Suite is a beautiful North-facing suite with views across the wide lawns towards the swimming pool. One can soak up the luxury of the king size four-poster mahogany bed and rise listening to the birds awaken with the first rays of the sun. It has a split-level bathroom equipped with double basins and separate bath and shower. The suite, situated on the 1 st floor of the Manor House comes equipped with heated towel rails, hairdryer, television (with DSTV) and mini bar. It also has air-conditioning and fans.
The Reynolds Suite was the original main bedroom of Lynton Hall! It's entrance hall announces the large bedroom with an elaborate, and much requested, king sized four-poster Indian mahogany bed. The room also has a beautiful feature fireplace, superior en-suite bathroom accommodating a separate bath and shower, and the most magnificent views of the Umdoni golf course and the Indian Ocean. The suite faces East and provides the early-bird with stunning views of the sunrise. The suite, situated on the 1st floor of the Manor House comes equipped with heated towel rails, hairdryer, television (with DSTV), mini bar, private safe and air-conditioner.
The Umdoni Suite is named after the golf course, which it overlooks. With breathtaking views of the grounds, tennis court and onward to the Indian Ocean, the Umdoni is a suite for those who fancy an absolute treat. The bed itself is in the Indian colonial style of being very elevated, needing a stepping stool to climb up onto it. It has a comfortable sitting area for those who need time to relax indoors and opens into a spacious, open plan bathroom containing bath/shower and double hand basins. The suite, situated on the 1 st floor of the Manor House comes equipped with heated towel rails, hairdryer, television (with DSTV) and mini bar.
The Umhlali Suite is tastefully decorated with an Indian Raj-period antique bed. North-facing, with views across the northern lawns, this suite also contains a beautiful bathroom with double hand basins and separate bath and shower. The suite luxuriously accommodates a couple and offers you all the luxuries of being in a 5-star hotel. Situated on the 1 st floor of the Manor House, Umhlali comes equipped with a heated towel rail, hairdryer, television (with DSTV) and mini bar. The room has access to a telephone for local, international and hotel service calls. It also has air-conditioning and fans.
The Umgai is a very special, large and spacious suite with a king size four-poster Indian Raj bed. Its outlook is South down the expansive grounds towards the new luxury suite building and on towards the stables. The large bathroom has double basins with a separate ball and claw bath and shower. The Umgai suite provides a very special luxury stay for those who appreciate the unique blend of Colonial and Indian traditions. This room can accommodate an additional ¾ bed should you prefer this option. Definitely something unique, and much photographed, the Sezela Suite opens a whole new dimension in room décor. The magnificent antique Indian teak arch dominates this superior suite, separating the bedroom from the lounge and fireplace. It has a king size four-poster South Indian antique bed, made with only the finest linen in Lynton Hall 's signature style. The spacious bathroom is fitted with double hand basins and separate bath and shower. It has magnificent views of the western and southern garden, carriage house, labour bell and water gardens. The suite, situated on the 1 st floor of the Manor House comes equipped with a heated towel rail, hairdryer, television (with DSTV) and mini bar. It also has air-conditioning and fans.
The Rowarth Suite is most notable for its splendid views over the gardens and objects d'art scattered into loose collections around the room. It offers guests a beautiful queen sized brass bed and opens into a spacious en-suite bathroom with double basins and bath/shower. A sense of luxury and tranquillity will meet you as you step through the door into another world. The suite, situated on the 1 st floor of the Manor House comes equipped with a heated towel rail, hairdryer, television (with DSTV) and mini bar. It also has air-conditioning and fans.
The Molly & Lewis Suites are the most spacious in the hotel with king-sized beds, separate sitting areas and over-sized bathrooms. They are decorated in a gentle style to reflect their position in the garden, in an original single storey cottage, close to the main building. The furniture is a combination of family pieces and specially commissioned work by renowned South African furniture maker, Pierre Cronje. Each suite has a ceiling fan, air conditioning, under-floor heating, DSTV, minibar, hair dryer and private safe.
Restaurant:
The cuisine and wine at Lynton Hall are legendary. A dedicated, highly trained kitchen brigade produce some of the finest cuisine found in South Africa. The wine list is often requested as a souvenir due the amount of information and the selection it contains!
