Nestled in park-like gardens, surrounded by lush vineyards, set on a tranquil lake in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Papyrus Lodge offers you a holiday experience never to be forgotten.   Sweeping views over vineyards and the Helderberg Mountains, warm evenings and African sunsets are just part of the natural splendour you will find at Papyrus Lodge   Choose from newly renovated, elegant and spacious 5-star suites in the Main Lodge or romantic and stylish wooden chalets built on stilts with private decks overhanging the water.   Papyrus Lodge is set on 12 hectares private land with a delightful garden and its own lake for swimming, fishing or rowing. Rowing boats and pedal boats are available and free for use of our guests. The lake is fed with fresh water from the nearby Helderberg.. For birdwatchers there is a great variety of different birds to be seen on and around the lake. For the little ones we have created a playground with trampoline where they can enjoy themselves without disturbing guests.   Papyrus Lodge offers two types of accommodation:   Luxury Chalets:   These romantic and stylish wooden Chalets are built on stilts with only a small bridge connecting you to land leaving you in your own private little world. Here you can unwind and relax on your private deck, surrounded by water, stunning views over the vineyards towards the Helderberg mountain range on the one side and Table Mountain on the other. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets and listen to the lapping water of the lake. Each chalet is a charming one room studio with a small open plan kitchenette, sleeping up to 2 persons. They have recently been renovated in accordance to high European standards and are equipped with air conditioning, modern appliances and under-floor heating.   Superior Suites:   The Main Lodge, just metres away from the lake, houses 4 stunning and elegant suites, which have just recently been renovated in a 5-star style. Each suite leads out onto into its own private garden terrace with comfortable cane chairs and stunning views over the lake towards Table Mountain. These beautifully decorated and exclusive suites each have an open plan kitchenette, modern appliances, under-floor heating and stunning décor. They can accommodate up to 2 persons. Family suites are available.   Breakfasts are served either on the garden terrace overlooking lake and garden or in the sunny breakfast room.
