Stellenbosch Winelands Hotel   Stellenbosch Winefarm Hotel   This is a beautiful guesthouse property situated on a working farm and wine estate in the heart of the Western Cape wine country.  Located only 40 minutes outside Cape Town, and even closer to the airport and ocean, each of the 16 modern, en-suite, guesthouse rooms are 30 sq m/330 sq ft, with an additional terrace.  The guesthouse rooms are situated between the majestic Stellenbosch and Simonsberg mountains, with vineyard, mountain and valley views, providing an environment of beauty and tranquillity.  There are also 2 rooms specially designed with families in mind.  Come, relax at the pool, or enjoy a leisurely hike in the adjacent forests and mountains.     Stellenbosch Accommodation - Winelands Hotel   The restaurant is located in the 150 year old manor house and meals are served either on the vine-covered veranda overlooking a tranquil lawn or in the dining room with its gallery of canvases by world famous local artists Paul Emsley, Cecil Skotnes and Larry Scully.  During colder weather guests can enjoy the warmth and comfort of a roaring fireplace. The cuisine can be described as creative and natural with French Provencal roots. The ingredients are always fresh, sourced from home-grown organic vegetables, fruits and herbs, as well as free-range farm eggs and milk. Other organic products are locally sourced, such as duck breast, venison, and salmon trout.  Please note that advance reservations for lunch and dinner are essential.  The restaurant is open exclusively to our guests for breakfast throughout the year.   The swimmingpool is ideal for the ultimate relaxation and is surrounded by a large garden.  A play area has been created for kids and a babysitting service is available on request!   Bicycles are available to guests who wish to explore the winelands in this way.   Business clientele are also catered for as guests will find internet access, a fax machine and a telephone connection in the main house.   Stellenbosch winelands hotel – The guest rooms   The accommodation has 16 en-suite guesthouse rooms all with terraces. The guestrooms are situated between the vineyards, with majestic views of Stellenbosch and Simonsberg mountains, as well as the Table Mountain in the distance, providing an environment of beauty and tranquillity.  The rooms are decorated in a European style with a South African touch.   The guestshouse's environmental and health-conscious approach to life ensures clean air and pure water. No poisons are sprayed, while water is sourced from an underground stream and enhanced by a water catalyser imported from Plocher, Germany. Noise pollution/ electrosmog (ELF) is lessened by the absence of television sets and air-conditioning systems. All rooms have an electric wall plug under the desk, which conforms to most European plugs. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m.  Fans & heaters are available at reception. Hairdryers and pool towels are available at reception. Safes are contained inside the wardrobe of each guesthouse room. Safe keys are available at reception.  Safe key deposit is R100.00. The wine region of Somerset West and the coastal towns of Strand and Gordon's Bay are reachable within a 20 minute drive. Cape Town is situated 45km from the hotel.  All major attractions can be easily be reached and the Stellenbosch wine route is directly on the doorstep!
