Under the oak tree in the leafy suburbs of Somerset West, with views of the Helderberg Mountains, the restored sunny Cape Dutch homestead bids you a warm welcome. The spacious garden and large swimming pool invite you to relax in the African sun or under the shade of the trees and umbrellas. Continental breakfast is served outside on the patio during the summer months.
The guest house is ideally situated for exploring the many famous wine estates, hiking trails, the local Helderberg Nature Reserve and golf courses, and swimming, sailing, boating, fishing, and the invitingly long Strand Beach are all nearby.
The historic, beautiful Stellenbosch is only 15 minutes away where walking tours tell the history of the wine and brandy industries. Enjoy the quaint art galleries, local restaurants and visit Vergelegen – one of the Cape's most famous wine estates!
The accommodation is offered in six elegant different suites – one of which is self-catering. All suites are stylishly decorated and have double beds and en-suite bathrooms. The rooms feature their own entrances from the garden, are air-conditioned and heated, have DSTV satellite television, a mini fridge, tea and coffee facilities, a safe for valuables and a hair dryer. Some have private patios. Computer, internet, e-mail and fax facilities are available for guests' convenience.
