Only a 3-minute drive from Paternoster brings you to this 4-star guesthouse in the sandy bushveld wilderness which feels pleasingly remote. Crunching up the glinting shell pathway you can see across an indigenous garden and right out to sea. Early risers may catch some of the wildlife that comes by when it thinks no-one's looking, and in spring the most spectacular flowers can be enjoyed. The beautiful garden boasts a koi pond adding to the peace and tranquillity in these magnificent surroundings. Join Deon on an exciting beach buggy adventure or how about a braai in a Wigwam (tepee)? Rainy days are also catered for with a host of board games, including a much-loved thirty-year-old edition of German Monopoly. A 'glühwein' or a typical north-German 'grog' are particularly tasty especially if served in front of the fireplace in the warm cosy lounge.
Rooms are modern, with televisions, stereos and some of the most exciting loo seats. All have en-suite bathrooms with spacious showers. Room 1: Ground level with queen size bed, safe, hairdryer, ceiling fan, mini fridge and private patio/terrace Room 2: Ground level with king size bed, safe, hairdryer, mini fridge and private patio/terrace Room 3: Top level with queen size bed, safe, hairdryer, ceiling fan, mini fridge and private patio/terrace Room 4: Only in combination with Room 3! Top level with twin beds and hairdryer
Make sure you don't miss the chance to spend a few minutes in the garden basket-chair before you leave. Specially imported from Germany, it shelters brilliantly from the wind, allowing you to sit in peace, looking out over the dunes for an hour or ten. English, Afrikaans and German spoken.
