Hout Bay Guesthouse Accommodation |
Each room has its own safe, hairdryer, television (7 channels including 2 satellite), heater, deckchairs and en-suite bathroom with shower, bath, toilet and bidet. We offer tea and coffee facilities and of course the ‘extra touches’ such as bath robes, shampoos and soaps. The family suite is on the ground floor and consist of a double room (with en-suite shower and bath) and a twin room (with en-suite shower only). The twin room is fitted with two single beds and has a common hallway with the double room making up a family suite.
For our business visitors we offer access to Wi-Fi in all rooms and if you need to use the internet there is a dedicated computer available to all guests (broadband connection). Leisure visitors can enjoy the beach which is an approximate 1km stroll past the harbour and the curio market (we provide the beach towels).
Wake up to the visiting guinea fowl and (weather permitting) enjoy a sumptuous breakfast of cereal, fruit salad, orange juice, tea or real coffee, as well as your choice of eggs, bacon, mushrooms and tomato.
Hout Bay offers an abundance of activities and sights to be enjoyed such as beaches, mountain walks and bird life. You may choose to simply take a hike (you can walk directly onto the mountain from our guesthouse), visit the famous World of Birds, Seal Island or the historic cannons and old fort. For the more adventurous a deep sea fishing trip, kayaking, sailing, diving and horse riding can be arranged.
A 5 - 10min drive brings you to Constantia where an excellent wine route, offering some of South Africa's finest wines, can be discovered. A 20min drive brings you to Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront or the Cape Town International Convention Centre. Take the road over the famed Chapman’s Peak Drive to Cape Point (45 minutes) and then travel around the Peninsula to visit the penguins at Boulders Beach. The famous beaches of Llandudno, Camps Bay and Clifton are also only a 10min drive away.
After a full day's sightseeing, come home for a drink in our cozy pub or sit on your balcony and spot the whales (in season of course) before either heading out for a meal at one of Hout Bay’s many excellent restaurants or enjoying a home cooked seafood platter (served on request) or meal of the day.
