South of Sea Point and below Lion’s Head you will find Bantry Bay and Clifton, with its four beaches.
These are some of the trendiest beaches in Cape Town and are usually packed in the summer months. The water is cold and, even during the hottest times of the year; the water temperature seldom goes above 18 degrees.
Most beach-lovers prefer to stay dry and tan in the summer sun or to play volleyball.
Clifton 4th beach is quieter and more suitable for families, while Clifton 1st beach is more popular with younger people. Near Camps Bay you will find the popular beach bar “La Med”. From here you can watch stunning sunsets and enjoy drinks and snacks.
