Festivals are a relatively young tradition in South Africa, but also a very popular pastime. Almost every occasion is used to celebrate in some way or to create some sort of festival. Throughout the year one can visit these events such as the Wildflower Festival, various wine festivals, the return of the whales to the east coast for the winter season and the Oyster Festival in Knysna. |
