Cape Town - Green Point
Green Point lies between the Waterfront and Sea Point. At the moment there are plans for the construction of a 6 star hotel in this area. Numerous restaurants, bars and shops have recently opened.
The sunsets are absolutely magnificent and the beach promenade is a meeting point for the young and old alike, as well as being often used for sportsmen and women to play their respective sports.
Every Sunday you will find the biggest craft market in Cape Town at Greenpoint Stadium. Many African curios can be found here and tourists often like to take a small part of their African adventure home with them.
A golf course, together with a huge grass area, can be found in Green Point. Leaving Greenpoint in the direction of Sea Point, a lighthouse can be found that with it’s red and white colours is very picturesque. The German immigrant, Herman Schütte, erected this lighthouse.
